Role of Third Parties

An interesting dialog from, An Unreasonable Man , on the role of third parties in American politics. While Democrats have great disdain for third parties, in particular Ralph Nader, their party would be unrecognizable without the influence of third parties. If we are talking about social security, unemployment compensation, Medicare, living wage, suffrage etc. , they are all ideas that emerged from third parties. It is also interesting that while Democrats go berserk over presenting an ID to vote, they have no problem using legislation, the court system, and technicalities to suppress voter choices by keeping Ralph Nader off the ballot.
