JS Online: Harley to cut 730 jobs
Most of the job cuts, described as permanent, will take place over the next three months. They will include 370 production positions, mostly in York, Pa., and 360 non-production positions, primarily in Milwaukee.
That is my question.
The Wisconsin State Journal spent some time investigating corporate welfare last summer, and Harley Davidson was one of the biggest recipients. The average they received from the state was almost $30,000 per employee.
It seems only fair that since Harley did not meet their half of the bargain, they should return the dough.
